We partner with great management teams and bring purpose built value-add capabilities that match the unique requirements of our companies.
01 Firm Background
02 Value Creation
Each company we invest in is different and requires strategic resources from Brighton Park to address the specific needs of our portfolio companies.
As the portfolio companies we invest in expect to grow significantly, Brighton Park seeks to work closely with founders and CEOs to identify and attract top talent in the industry. We recognize the human capital needs of a portfolio company change dramatically as a result of growth, and the talent bank we maintain aims to bring the best, most relevant resources to our portfolio companies.
We work closely with our portfolio companies to take advantage of important emerging technologies that can accelerate the growth and development of products. We have deep expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, user interface, user experience, mobility, security, cloud infrastructure, and open source and seek to bring the best and most knowledgeable resources in our network to advance the technology agenda for our portfolio companies.
In many cases, the portfolio companies we invest in seek help around a wide range of raw strategy issues. This may include competitive assessments, market entry strategies, pricing work, organizational construct issues, compensation questions and scalability challenges amongst others. We work closely with our portfolio companies to provide thoughtful analysis and perspective across a wide range of opportunities.
Sales and Marketing
We work closely with each of our portfolio companies to evaluate the right size, type and operational cadences of the selling organization. For many high-growth companies, assessing the proper organizational construct for going to market, optimizing around winning and assuring customer success is a critical issue. We aim to help companies maximize the return on their investments in the sales and marketing functions.
We recognize that often times our portfolio companies need access to the C-suite of large and mid-size companies to sell their product or service. Through our Investment Team and Senior Advisory Group*, we maintain a deep network into many of the largest buyers and users of enterprise technologies. We actively cultivate these enterprise relationships and seek to connect these buyers and users with portfolio companies that provide innovative products and services.
The Brighton Park team has decades of experience in helping companies pursue their global ambitions. Whether pursuing new customers in Europe, developing new software in Eastern Europe, Latin America or India or trying to navigate doing business in China, we have a team with relationships and perspectives to help our portfolio companies take advantage of the global landscape.
For many of the portfolio companies we invest in, Brighton Park seeks to become a critical part of the corporate development team. This includes competitive assessment, mapping and establishing dialog with potential acquisition candidates, channel partner relationships, technology licensing opportunities, and other distribution or reselling opportunities.
As a firm, we have deep expertise and passion for business process. We seek to work with our portfolio companies to take advantage of the efficiencies that can be created as a company scales through the optimization and technology enablement of even the most complex processes. We have significant expertise in machine learning and the automation of processes that we seek to use to create tremendous financial benefit for our portfolio companies.
We recognize that the essence of our portfolio companies revolves around their ability to continuously evolve and further develop a next generation of products with features, functions and performance that will sustain leadership in the market. We believe we have a unique ability to help identify how products and services need to evolve to match market needs. As our portfolio companies identify opportunities for new products, we often play a key role in assessing market demand, key customer requirements and the development of marketing strategies that assure the success of new offerings.
